The Very Rev. Dr. Walter V. Hillebrand, TSSF has studied in four countries (Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany) and the USA. Fr. Hillebrand holds Masters Degrees in Business Management, Business Economics, and Divinity. He earned his Doctorate from the University of the State of New York through New York Theological Seminary. 

Fr. Walter serves as the Dean of South East Nassau Deanery to which 7 Churches belong. This specific role focuses on developing collaborative ministries between the churches for the greater good of the surrounding community. He also serves on the Diocesan level as the Vice President of the Standing Committee which works closely together with the Diocesan Bishop. In addition to being a Spiritual Leader and example for the neighborhood and the surrounding community Fr. Hillebrand is a visionary leader with over 30 years of leadership experiences in positions held such as COO, CFO, and CEO.

Fr. Hillebrand has served as Rector/Priest and Head of School at Grace over the past 12 years. One of the main ministries he developed is Grace Early Childhood Center that serves the community in taking care of over 200 children. To serve our beloved parents even better, Fr. Hillebrand added the Above & Beyond program, which operates 50 weeks throughout the year from 6:30 AM through 6:30 PM. Overseeing Grace as its Head of School he initiated and led Grace to become fully NY State certified under the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). Under his leadership Grace has evolved into one of the premiere Early Childhood Centers on the South Shore and throughout Long Island. Being self thriven, one can be sure that, in conversation with our parents and neighborhood leaders, Fr. Hillebrand will continue to focus on improving Grace Early Childhood Center from the use of our buildings, playgrounds, beautification of our campus, and of course enhancing our programs for our beloved children.
